Arcada alumnus swims 500 kilometres for the Baltic Sea

In the first week of June, Gustav Kvikant starts swimming from Stockholm with the goal of reaching Helsinki about a month later. The Arcada alumnus is on a mission to raise awareness of the many problems the Baltic Sea faces and will be the first ever to swim this distance.

What happens when 18 Finnish universities of applied sciences (UAS) put their heads together and start thinking of how to bring more talented students to Finland? The UAS Path offers a unique, co-operatively carried out programme, where students wishing to study in Finland can first taste the Finnish study experience from their home country, online, and move to Finland to complete the degree after that.

Joint forces against the pandemic

Arcada builds a unique knowledge centre with focus on health tech

The new learning environment, Arcada Health Tech Hub, offers students, professional occupational therapists and physiotherapists, researchers and companies a space where they can come together around health technology. The centre is built with the support of donations to the fundraising campaign Arcada 25 launched in celebration of Arcada’s 25th anniversary.

Arcada participates in the campaign I am anti-racist 24.1–6.2

The Ministry of Justice and The Non-Discrimination Ombudsman are today launching an anti-racist campaign aimed at young adults. Arcada participates in the campaign by raising these issues in our channels and encouraging students and staff to share their thoughts and experiences of racism.
