Ask any nursing or paramedic educators to define professionalism and you will likely get as many answers as there are educators. Ask them whether it matters, and the answer will be unanimous; yes, it does. This gap between how hard professionalism is to pin down and its agreed essentiality is one of the more persistent challenges in the education of healthcare professionals.

Gamebadges, hidden competences, and why the friction matters

We presented Arcada's Gamebadges work at Supercell in April. Badges helped us spot hidden competences students were building but couldn't name. Proving individual work in team projects is hard, but that friction is the point. AI can help scale this without replacing real ownership or teacher judgment.
