Arcada offers tuition in Swedish and English
Arcada is a Swedish-speaking university of applied sciences (UAS) in Finland. Finland has two national languages, Finnish and Swedish, and the Swedish-speaking population has been an integral part of Finnish society, culture, and education for centuries.
As a Swedish-language institution, Arcada's mission is to educate professionals and strengthen expertise within Finland's Swedish-speaking community. At the same time, Arcada offers a wide range of degree programmes in English to welcome students from around the world.
Learning Swedish opens doors not only in Finland but across the Nordic region, where close cooperation creates opportunities for studies, careers, and mobility. At the same time, Finnish remains an important asset in the Finnish labour market. Therefore, international students at Arcada can study both Swedish and Finnish alongside their degree studies.
This combination of English-language education and access to both national languages helps students build strong connections to Finland and the Nordic region.
