Tuition fees and scholarships
Here you will find all the information you need on tuition fees and scholarships for bachelor level studies at Arcada.
All Finnish higher education institutions charge tuition fees for degrees taught in English. The tuition fees apply to applicants from countries outside the EU/EEA, and varies between the bachelor's degree programmes.
Tuition fees for bachelor level studies
- International Business 8 500 euros/academic year
- Mechanical and Sustainable Engineering 8 500 euros/academic year
- Nursing 5 000 euros/academic year
- Nursing TopUp 5 000 euros/academic year
Early bird offer
Do not miss out on our early bird offer! An admitted student can receive a discount of 4 000 euros on the tuition fees for the first academic year by bindingly accepting the study place offer of Arcada and paying the tuition fee within 14 days! The early bird offer does not apply to the Nursing or Nursing TopUp programme. Other restrictions may apply.
Who is required to pay?
The fee applies to applicants from countries outside the European Union/EEA. The first payment is always paid per academic year, in one instalment. The first payment needs to be done when you accept your study place, after that it's done alongside the registration for the academic year.
There are however exemptions that can free a non-European/EEA citizen from paying the fee. For example, the fee will not be charged from persons who are equated with EU area citizens. The exemption will also apply to those who have an EU blue card stated in the Aliens Act, continuous or permanent residence permit. If you are unsure as to whether you need to pay or not, please see the guide on Studyinfo External link.
Payment of tuition fees
Admitted students who are required to pay tuition fees will receive information about the payment process in the acceptance email, but we have written a short summary of the tuition fee payment process so that you can start preparing.
When you are admitted to Arcada, you will receive a secure-link through which you must accept your study place offer. After that, you will receive another email with instructions on how to pay the tuition fee and how to register for the academic year. Please note that you cannot register for the academic year or receive a study certificate until you have paid the tuition fee. Failure to pay tuition fees on time leads to a loss of study right.
You will be able to choose from one of the following payment options:
- Invoice
- Finnish Bank Cards
If you want to pay using an invoice, make sure to check possible delays with your bank regarding transactions to Finland to make sure that the payment is received by Arcada before the due date. The due date is the same as the deadline for accepting your study place and is stated both in the invoice and in your acceptance letter. Please note that the invoice is to be paid in euros.
