Refund of tuition fees 2025
Here you will find information on the refund of tuition fees.
If your study right at Arcada started before 31 July 2026, for example you were admitted in 2025, the following rules and regulations regarding refund of tuition fees apply to you. More detailed refund criteria and information is included in the admissions letter sent to admitted students.
Arcada will grant a refund of the tuition fee only for the following three reasons:
- admission criteria not being met
- residence permit being denied
- a long-lasting severe illness preventing studies
A refund of the tuition fees can not be granted if the student cancels their study place, or if they decide to not continue with their studies without formally cancelling their study place.
Before any refund process can begin, the student must contact the admissions office for further instructions and information on the refund process, should the student have a valid reason for a refund. The admissions office will provide the link to the application for a refund to the student in case a refund is possible. When applying for a refund, the student is responsible for submitting proof, such as a doctor's certificate or the negative decision on residence permit application which is issued by the Finnish Immigration Services.
Refunding the tuition fee entails that the right to study at Arcada is simultaneously revoked, if nothing else is stated.
If the student has attained study results in the study register, a refund for said period when results are registered is not possible.
Refund handling fee
In all cases of refund, a sum of €250 will be deducted from the refunded tuition fee to cover the administrative process.
