A new audiology programme will start in autumn 2026

Published: 14.04.2026 / Continuing education

Would you like to become an expert in hearing care and audiological rehabilitation? Arcada now offers a specialist audiology programme that combines theory, practical training and modern hearing technology.

Arcada’s new programme offers you the opportunity to develop your skills in hearing, communication and audiological assessments. The Swedish-language Audiology programme is aimed at those with a higher education qualification in healthcare (such as nurses, public health nurses, occupational therapists or physiotherapists) who wish to further their professional expertise.

Upon completion of the programme, you will be able to work in specialist healthcare, primary care, the private sector or research and development projects within audiology. The programme is flexible and can be combined with work, and lasts a total of 1.5 years, including work placements and individual development work. On-campus study takes place at Arcada in Helsinki during selected weeks between September 2026 and May 2027.

The programme is partly funded by the Hearing Service Association and the Thure Gallen Foundation, with start-up funding from the Swedish Cultural Foundation, and is run in collaboration with the Swedish Hearing Association.
