10 things to know when applying to Arcada’s bachelor’s programmes
- You can apply in either our separate application or joint application. Unless you are a Finnish student or have an international diploma, the separate application is most likely the right round for you.
- The separate application is open 13 November 2025–21 May 2026. Application may close earlier in case all study places have been filled, so the sooner you apply, the better.
- To apply, you must have an education with a certificate/diploma that gives you eligibility for higher education.
- In the separate application you can apply through an SAT test, an OMPT test or certificate/diploma of completed upper secondary education from Estonia, India, Latvia, Morocco, Turkey or Vietnam. You must submit a proof of your English language skills.
- If you apply in the separate application and meet our threshold criteria, you will be invited to an online group interview.
- You submit your application, including all application documents, in the Finnish studyportal Studyinfo. If you missed the application deadline, you can’t apply in this round, but you have to wait until the next one opens.
- There is an application fee of €100, which needs to be paid by applicants from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland. If you have already paid the application fee in another application round, with studies starting in the same academic term, you do not need to pay the fee again.
- The tuition fee is €9,800 per year, which needs to be paid by applicants from outside the EU/EEA. Arcada has an early-bird offer of €1,500 for fee-paying students who accept their study place offer (and pay) within 14 days.
- Arcada can’t assist students in their residence permit application process, as this is the sole responsibility of Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) . Arcada will, however, issue a Certificate of Study after the payment of the tuition fee has been made. The certificate can be used when submitting your residence permit application.
- Arcada can't assist students in obtaining accommodation, but don’t worry: in Arcada’s digital study guide Start you will find useful information about student accommodation on campus and in Helsinki. Once a student at Arcada, make sure to include Start in your everyday student life – it will make your student journey a lot smoother.
