From a course project to a design competition in London – Arcada’s students of Cultural Management Moa West and Emmi Koskenvesa made it to the finals in the global student competition RSA Student Design Awards.
The decision on the state's counter-financing for the UASs’ fundraising has been taken. Arcada, with its total of 6.23 MEUR in donations, tops the list when looking at funds raised in relation to institution size.

Today, the 21 first nurses specialised in osteoporosis care in Finland completed their training. The specialisation offered by Arcada is unique - for the first time, nurses who have already worked in the field can receive extensive training in the field.
The support from firms and businesses for Arcada's fundraising has been invaluable. Fiskars contributed EUR 50,000 and Vaisala with EUR 20,000 to the campaign of Tomorrow’s Heroes - Made by Arcada, during the last weeks of the campaign.
A total of 499 students completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree at Arcada in 2018. It is a new record in the number of degrees awarded in one year. The second graduation ceremony arranged for those graduating in 2018 was held 18 January.
With their joint donation, the Ehrnrooth foundations want to support education of young people in Swedish in Finland. The donations totalling EUR 425,000, were made within the framework of Arcada's fundraising campaign, Tomorrow's Heroes – Made by Arcada.
