Health Equity Education - HEQED seminar

The overall purpose of the HEQED (Health Equity Education) project is to support higher education institutions in building competence in health equity. The aim with the conference is to discuss different perspectives on health equity and reflect on how ethical judgement and evaluations promote or hinder health equity in a European and global social context.

Arcada condemns acts of war and expresses support for Ukraine

The right to life is to be respected and Arcada opposes all forms of aggression - no matter where in the world it takes place. Together with the other higher education institutions in Finland, Arcada expresses its support for Ukraine, its citizens and its entire higher education community.

Joint forces against the pandemic

A high vaccination rate is one of our main weapons against the ongoing corona pandemic. Among Arcada's staff, students and alumni, there are a number of heroes who volunteer as vaccinators in their spare time. All in order to end the pandemic.

Arcada participates in the campaign I am anti-racist 24.1–6.2

The Ministry of Justice and The Non-Discrimination Ombudsman are today launching an anti-racist campaign aimed at young adults. Arcada participates in the campaign by raising these issues in our channels and encouraging students and staff to share their thoughts and experiences of racism.

Rector Mona Forsskåhl elected to Arene's board

Arcada's Rector Mona Forsskåhl has been elected to the Board of the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene. The new board took office on 1 January.
