Arcada University of Applied Sciences has been granted funding for an increased number of new study places in its Business Administration programme. The decision forms part of the government’s efforts to raise the level of education and skills and to meet labour market needs.
The additional places will allow even more students to be admitted to one of Arcada’s most popular degree programmes. The new study places will be introduced from autumn 2026 and are included in admissions through the joint application system.
Business Administration has long been the programme attracting the highest number of applicants at Arcada. Graduates are in strong demand on the labour market and enjoy very good employment prospects after graduation, factors which were also taken into account by the ministry when allocating the additional places.
“Being granted additional study places is a clear recognition of the quality and relevance of our education, combined with the strong interest shown by students. It demonstrates that Arcada is regarded as a strong provider of business- and working life oriented education,” says Maria Forss, Dean.
At national level, a total of 1,095 new study places have been approved, of which 500 are allocated to universities of applied sciences. The initiative focuses on programmes that support growth, competitiveness and the supply of skills needed by working life.
