Build Your Network, Build Your Career alumni event by the UAS’ in the Helsinki metropolitan area is back with an inspiring new lineup! Join us for an unforgettable alumni event on 30 October 2025 at 16:45–19:00.

The event – organised by Arcada, Diak, Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia – is welcoming all the international alumni and students close to graduation of the organising UAS’.

The event is aimed at alumni with a foreign background whose native language is not Finnish or Swedish and who may face challenges in finding their place in the Finnish labour market. The program focuses on employment opportunities in Finland.

During the event, entrepreneur and performer Ali Jahangiri will share powerful insights on how to make your dreams come true. You'll hear from two inspiring keynote speakers – Takura Matswetu, Head of the International Talent & Softlanding team, and Chloe Järvinen, Specialist at Monika-Naiset Liitto ry – who will share insights on networking and how to thrive, not just survive, in today’s Finnish labour market. You'll also have the chance to participate in a networking workshop organised by Career Services Specialist Esa Hukkanen.

At a range of pop-up stands, you'll have the chance to grow your professional network, refine how you present your skills, and discover your strengths to help guide your career growth and planning.

Ali Jahangiri is a Finnish-Iranian stand-up comedian. Jahangiri also has a background in economics and has worked as a project manager. He is nowadays also a K-retailer (K-kauppias).
