Co-operation with agents

In order to strengthen and diversify our international student recruitment, Arcada co-operates with a number of student recruitments agencies located in different parts of the world.

Information to applicants

Arcada co-operates with a limited number of external student recruitment agents. These partners are authorized to provide guidance to prospective students and to support them throughout the application process. Application via commercial actors, such as agents, does not give applicants any advantage when applying to higher education institutions. It is possible for applicants to apply to all degree programmes in Finland without the assistance of an agent, for example via the national application portal Studyinfo .

The agents receive a commission from Arcada for each tuition fee–paying student they successfully recruit. This commission is paid by Arcada and does not affect the applicant’s costs in any way.

Arcada does not charge any application fees of its own. The only mandatory application fee for applicants to Arcada is the national application fee, which is administered centrally through the Finnish national application system. Applicants should never be asked to pay additional fees to Arcada or on Arcada’s behalf.

If an applicant chooses to work with an agent, any service fees charged by the agent are solely between the applicant and the agent. These fees are not required by Arcada and are not connected to the admissions process.

Notice to Russian educational agencies and other commercial collaborators

Arcada expresses sympathy and support for Ukraine, its citizens and its entire higher education community.

The Ministry of Education and Culture has issued a recommendation that all collaboration with Russian institutions and private agencies are suspended until further notice. Arcada adheres to the Ministry's recommendation.

All individual members of the Arcada community will continue to be treated equally and with respect.
