Bakgrund och ändamål
The current pandemic context, with the known difficulties and constraints generated in maintaining the classic models of learning in European higher education, has reinforced the need to integrate virtual learning environments in its plans. Limiting access to the campus learning environments, traditional and standard simulation, used in basic or continuous professional practical skills training, as a rule, implies rethinking the learning scenarios, readopting them to non-classroom or hybrid training or developing new scenarios suitable for the digital tools existing or in development. Therefore, it is crucial to produce and develop practical competence learning scenarios (pedagogical-didactic materials), suitable for
learning environments (hybrid learning). With this we hope to increase the digital skills of European teachers, students and health professionals and contribute to the innovation of pedagogical concepts and models to be used in this virtual learning environments.
We intend that European higher education institutions, integrate these scenarios in the training of Health Sciences students and guide the teaching practice in digital support using the developed scenarios. The achievement of this objective will be possible with the development of a digital tool that aggregates and makes available the various scenarios.

The primary expected effect of the guidelines that are developed is positive attitudes among teachers to realize also practically oriented teaching online, which is cruical especially in social and health care. Very central is that DITEPRACT supports students' learning of practical skills in a way that increases accessibility, flexibility and active self-directed learning. The developed methods must also support the fullness and motivation of the students. The readiness and competence to use new virtual learning platforms, concepts, models, tools and apps has increased. The universities' modern laboratory and simulation facilities are also used in many ways for online distance learning. The guidelines that are developed can
be used to support the competence of current staff but also in the introduction of new teachers and as material in the training of teachers. The idea is that the collaboration on developing guidelines will continue even after DITEPRACT is completed, as online teaching is needed not only in corona times but also more long-term. Since guidelines contain both general pedagogical principles to support the learning of practical skills digitally and more specific descriptions of best practice, new descriptions can be added as new material is developed. They are published in English, but parts will be available in the languages of the different countries. Guidelines must be freely available electronically, which means that they can be used not only within the network but also in general.
Expected Local, regional and national impacts: 1) increasing teachers pedagogical competencies in practices of digital online technology in subject-specific practical teaching, training and learning, 2) improved team work skills 3) more efficient HE to match regional work requirements 4) improved efficiency, through new learning methods and skills, 5) increased
occupational well-being among teaching staff, 6) increased motivation and empowerment among teachers, 7) satisfied and motivated students, 8) Guidelines (based on project results) support teachers in their daily work and offers them tools in practical solutions and challenges, 9) guidelines and recommendations support to develop HE nationally towards uniform recommendations in education,10) developed solutions, products and methods gives us tools to carry on with high quality education, even in times of pandemic or other crisis.
Expected impact on European level: 1) project results and produced guidelines/recommendations is mapping the situation of European HE, gives tools to develop and change shortcomings 2) guidelines/recommendations is developing European HE towards higher and uniform quality, 3) project results are contributing to the development of European HE
system, 4) developed solutions, products and methods gives us tools to carry on with high quality education, even in times of pandemic or other crisis.
Project results will be available
for all citizen in EU through active dissemination of results (Social- and other media) and through Erasmus +Project Results Platform, Electric Platform for Adults Learning in Europe, School Education Gateway .
There is a need to develop high quality innovative hybrid and digital teaching strategies to support learning of practical skills in higher education and to support teacher competence in practically oriented distance teaching and learning. Experiences in the area of education in social and health care during the corona crisis showed that distance learning concerning practically oriented teaching and learning among students in areas where practical skills and hands-on competencies are crucial, were especially challenging and new solutions are needed.
