Tuition fees for Master degree studies at Arcada
In 2017, all Finnish higher education institutions have implemented tuition fees for degrees taught in English.
In 2020, a full time master’s degree programme at Arcada costs:
10 000€ for a programme consisting of 60 ECTS (Two semesters)
11 000€ for a programme consisting of 90 ECTS (Three semesters)
In case the student is unable to complete the degree within the given study time, the student needs to pay 2 000€ per each extra semester until the degree is completed.
A part time master’s degree programme (60–90 ECTS credits) at Arcada costs:
5 000€ for the first and second academic year, and 2 500€ for the following years. One academic year consists of two semesters.
Who is required to pay?
The fee applies to applicants from countries outside the European Union/EEA-area. The payment is always done per academic year, in one instalment. The first payment needs to be done when you accept your study place, after that it's done along´side the registration for the academic year.
There are however exemptions that can free a non European/EEA citizen from paying the fee. For example, the fee will not be charged from persons who are equated with EU area citizens. The exemption will also apply to those who have an EU blue card stated in the Aliens Act, continuous or permanent residence permit. If you are unsure as to whether you need to pay or not, please see this guide on Studyinfo.
