"My passion is working for a more sustainable tomorrow, together with researchers from various fields and different stakeholders."

Elina Sagne-Ollikainen obtained her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation from Arcada in 2012.  Her master’s thesis looked at WHO’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for children and youth, ICF-CY, and how the classification can be seen in habilitation plans and in the individual goals formulated by the children versus the individual goals formulated by the professionals.

Sagne-Ollikainen has a vast experience from the NGO sector including writing project appraisals, coordinating, leading and implementing projects and co-operating within different stakeholders and networks. Sagne-Ollikainen's urge for developing her skills further led her to additional studies in Global healthcare and Emergency preparedness in 2017 as well as Corporate Social Responsibility in 2018 at Hanken School of Economics . Her international experience includes several episodes of completing studies abroad with the focus on physiotherapy, pediatric neurology as well as studies in human rights (KU Leuven in Belgium 2005, Universitat de Valencia- Escuela de Fisioterápia in Spain 2003-2004 and Universidad Pontificia Católica de Santiago de Chile 2012).

Sagne-Ollikainen has also monitored a co-operation project in Kenya and represented Special Olympics Finland at Special Olympic platforms in Europe, both in Leicester and Rome.

Sagne-Ollikainen is currently positioned at Arcada's Research, Development and Innovation Unit. Her work is focused on supporting Arcada's researchers and the vast research and innovation activities together with Vice rector Henrika Franck.
