"My passion for learning processes and students' professional development has led me to research focusing on self-directed learning and the social construction of the student and student learning in the context of Universities of Applied Sciences".

During Denice Haldin’s 15 years as a teacher in UAS she has developed an interest and a competence for designing aligned learning environments and coaching students in their professional development. Haldin has also contributed to projects focusing on student wellbeing and student coaching in Higher Education. She has participated and contributed to the pedagogical development at the UAS. 

Haldin has taken an active part in the curriculum development for the Occupational Therapy Programme. The curriculum aims at promoting students innovative professional reasoning and empowering them to become actors to promote social change. An important part of the curriculum development has been the networking with other Higher Education Institutions in Europe and in the Nordic countries.
