Graduation ceremony in June 2018

A total of 499 students completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree at Arcada in 2018. It is a new record in the number of degrees awarded in one year. The second graduation ceremony arranged for those graduating in 2018 was held 18 January.

During the past year, 435 students have completed a bachelor’s degree and 64 have completed a master’s degree.

- I’m extremely happy to see so many new alumni from Arcada. Our figures have risen steadily for a few years, which shows that we offer attractive education, focus on pedagogy and really work with the students in focus, says CarlJohan Rosenbröijer, Vice-Rector with responsibility for degree education.

Arcada has a close collaboration with companies and organisations, and all programmes  aiming at bachelor’s degree have internships built into the degree requirements. In practice, this means that all graduates in addition to the theoretical knowledge of their field, have a solid professional experience when they graduate.

- Our challenge lies in the fact that many of our students, especially among the Swedish programmes, are so sought after on the labour market that we really have to work to get them to complete the last bits of their degree. This is of course sort of a positive problem, adds Rosenbröijer with a smile.

Today, Arcada offers 17 bachelor’s degrees and 10 master’s degrees.
