Aktia Bank Plc shows its support for Arcada and the fundraising campaign Tomorrow's Heroes - Made by Arcada, through a valuable donation of 75,000 euros. By donating, Aktia wants to support continued development of high-quality education in Finland.

"We believe that co-operation between working life and higher education institutions is very important. The financial sector is changing and developing all the time, which requires active dialogue between different actors in society. Collaboration with higher education institutions strengthens lifelong learning," says Aktia's CEO Mikko Ayub.

"Arcada has a long and very fruitful co-operation with Aktia, especially within the field of business management. We are very pleased with their commitment," says Linn Hongell, Head of Department of Business Management and Analytics at Arcada.

Many Arcada students find internships at Aktia every year and it is a sought-after employer among graduates.
"We are very pleased that many of our alumni have found interesting positions within the company. Furthermore, we see this donation as a vote of confidence both for our students and for the education we offer," Hongell concludes.

The fundraising campaign, Tomorrow's heroes - Made by Arcada, is in progress until the end of December 2018. The funds raised will strengthen Arcada’s goal-oriented work for sustainable education and research at the forefront.
