Tuition fees for Master's degree studies at Arcada

All Finnish higher education institutions charge tuition fees for degrees taught in English. The fee applies to applicants from countries outside the European Union/EEA-area.

Please read more detailed information about Arcada's tuition fees on our student portal.

Full-time Master's degrees

For studies starting in autumn 2020, a full-time master’s degree programme at Arcada will cost:

10 000€ for a programme consisting of 60 ECTS (Two Semesters, one year)
11 000€ for a programme consisting of 90 ECTS (Three Semesters, one and a half year)

In case the student is unable to complete the degree within the given time frame, the student needs to pay 2 000€ per each extra semester until the degree is completed.

Who is required to pay?

The fee applies to applicants from countries outside the European Union/EEA-area. The first payment is always done per academic year, in one installment.  The first payment needs to be done when you accept your study place, after that it's done along´side the registration for the academic year.

There are however exemptions that can free a non-European/EEA citizen from paying the fee. For example, the fee will not be charged from persons who are equated with EU area citizens. The exemption will also apply to those who have an EU blue card stated in the Aliens Act, continuous or permanent residence permit. If you are unsure as to whether you need to pay or not, please see this guide on Studyinfo.

Payment of tuition fee

Admitted students who are required to pay tuition fee will receive information about the payment process in the acceptance e-mail, but we have written a short summary of the tuition fee payment process so you can start preparing.
