Electrical Engineering

The Degree programme in Electrical Engineering educates engineers needed in high-tech telecommunications, electronics and automation industries. The market need for electrical engineers has continuously been high. With respect to the fast technical advancements of today and the needs of the modern information society, engineers are needed who possess soundly based theoretical skills within their own area of expertise and who, in addition, have a mathematical mindset and the ability to promote development, to solve problems and to work in teams, often in international organizations.

The objective of this programme is to give the student good technical skills and the ability to apply them. The education focuses on telecommunications, electronics and automation. Areas treated include electric drives, electrical measurement, control systems, embedded systems, electronic communication technology, integrated circuits, mobile networks, microwave technology and digital signal processing.
