A Non-Finnish Degree

A Non-Finnish degree gives eligibility if it gives eligibility for higher education in the degree awarding country. Your education must be completed before the application deadline of 14 February 2012. By completed is meant that you have the final certficate in hand when you apply.

If you are a EU/EEA-citizen and you are completing you eduction in spring/summer 2012 you are also eligible to apply.

As a main rule, a certificate awarded in a country other than Finland will give eligibility for polytechnic studies if the same education gives general eligibility for higher education in the country in question.

Certificates such as IB, EB, Reifeprufung, High School Diploma, Matriculation Examination, Gymnasium, Senior/Advanced/Upper Secondary School Certificate/High School Diploma, Baccalaureate, A-levels, or equivalent vocational qualification are generally taken into consideration.
